We have been informed that this project will be rescheduled. The reason is to avoid having two major road closures at the same time.
As soon as we have the new dates we will post them on here.
The PC has been informed that there is a major road closure is required on Bromley Road,
currently scheduled for the end of January 2022.
The work is part of Bath & North East Somerset Council capital scheme for highway drainage improvement works
There have been ongoing issues with water flowing along Bromley Road – near The Druid’s Arms and the Village Hall. This is causing the carriageway surface to deteriorate and is also putting properties at risk of flooding.
The work is to replace the drainage system and resurface the carriageway.
To undertake the work, a road closure is required.
Access to all properties will be maintained throughout and the work/closure will be undertaken in phases.
There will be no through-access during this work.
Attached is a plan of the closure extent, a diversion will be in place.
The work is scheduled to begin 24 January 2022. It is programmed for 4 weeks, but they will work to complete in as short time as possible.
