Ash Dieback Disease

Sadly there are a large number of Ash trees all around the Chew Valley, there is some useful information (and links) on the BaNES website:

https://www.bathnes.gov.uk/services/environment/trees-and-woodlands/ash-dieback-disease

If you have Ash trees, please do read the BaNES advice, especially be vigilant, monitor them, and be familiar with the signs of Ash Dieback.
Please consider if a badly infected Ash tree could pose a hazard to neighbouring property, or people on PROWs or roads, if in doubt seek professional advice.

Infected trees do not always need to be completely felled, sometimes thay can be pruned, or if safe left for the benefit of wildlife and to establish if they demonstrate genetic resilience.
